| dmorton's Full Review: B&W Nautilus HTM2 Bookshelf Speaker |
The HTM2 is a good center speaker to match with the Nautilus 805 speakers. I purchased this speaker to match my 805's and am extremely happy with it. This speaker is basically an 805 turned on its side. The sound is clear and crisp. You can really pick up the details. When watching the Rose Bowl, I could hear the overhead planes coming through the announcers microphones. This speaker could potentially be dangerous to poorly mixed movies.
The construction of the htm2 is very sturdy. It sits on top of my tv nicely. The back binding posts are open to biwiring. If biwiring is not your option, you can wire them traditionally and add the spade cable to connect to the remaining two terminals. Great to see B&W add these with the package.
Overall, this is a great speaker. It sounds better than my previous B&W LCR6-S2 speaker, which is also a good speaker. I would recommend this speaker as an entry level center speaker for the Nautilus line. I'm not sure if the HTM1 is worth the extra grand.
