| chrisgriffin66's Full Review: General Reviews of Cellular One Customer Service |
After conferring extensively with an authorized agent, I chose a 150 anytime minutes plan for 34.99 per month. The agent assured my that I would only pay for actual time used, and that calls would not be rounded up to the nearest minute. He also said that actual time billed would be less than the timer on the phone indicated, because my calls would not be billed until the signal reached the first tower, and that the CellOne coverage area was excellent in the area I would need it.
I purchased the plan to enable me to have cell-to-cell contact while traveling between my home in Southwestern Vermont and Northeastern PA.
The service was very poor. Calls in the Verizon service area were blocked, and since the parties I tried to reach were frequently on Verizon plans, the phone was useless.
Most of my calls were cutoff, or I reached a Verizon recording stating that contact was impossible. After recieving a second monthly bill that exceeded $250.00, I spoke to customer service person named Mike, who told my that my contract stated calls were rounded up to the nearest minute, from their inception, and that the $200.00 early termination fee would certainly be incurred in my case if I chose to terminate service.Bait and Switch?
