| riccote's Full Review: EchoStar 5000 Digital Satellite System |
This thing is loaded with great features like the on screen caller ID, event timer, universal UHF remote changes channels anywhere in the house, tuner for local channels, 1 A/V input and 2 A/V outputs. If you subscribe to the TOP 100 this models tells the artist and song playing on the music stations. With a special adapter for around $50 it will be Dolby Digital compatible/AC3.
I bought the Dish Network so I could watch Boston Bruins hockey on UPN38 and NESN here in Colorado. I get more stations and better quality picture and sound for less money than cable. I also have a better chance of watching the New England Patriots with the east coasts and west coasts network station. The movie channels are way cheaper than cable like six HBO's for $9.99 you can't beat that.
The installation is very easy once you find a good spot to mount it. It took about an hour to hook my two receivers. All the features are easy to use.
