I bought this phone because it was the cheapest phone with the smallest amount of contract time and commitment. At the same time, my fiance bought a Nokia, top of the line. The only thing his phone does that mine doesn't, is play games. But that's okay because mine is more durable. It's very slim and thin, without being short and stubby and making you feel like you're talking into your palm.
Often he has to call me on the house phone because his reception is so bad. It may be the carrier, but wherever I go, I have a strong signal. Except if there is a lot of concrete around. Or if I'm in my apartment.
My phone has gone through a lot, it has been raining on, dropped *repeatedly* <blush> Even tossed a few times. It's almost a year old now, and it still has the same display, and condition as it came. Except the anntenea. That's long broken off. Cheap.
The battery lasts virtually forever. Even with the last line it will still last a whole day with average talk time and stand by.
Of course - the Draw Backs...
This phone is made by Audiovox... This company seems to have problems honoring warranty. Eventually, they service the phone, but the three times in one year that my phone has been "in the shop", it's been at least 5 weeks before I got it back. So, if you can deal with a loaner phone for a few months out of every year, get this phone!
