I bought this Camera after seeing it a few times at my local Electronics Boutique.. after talking to the salesperson, who told me he had tried the cam and wasn't impressed.. I figured I'd give it a go... I like the size of the cam, and that it does get attention sometimes, but I also like the pics it takes (in HQ mode) they aren't perfect, but, fir what the cam is, they are great, I have had mine about a week now, taken prolly dozens of pics, in various situations, and had very few problems.. the main prob I had was the light sensitivity.. that it wouldn't shoot if it thought the light was too low, I found a way around that, set the cam in continuous mode, and hold the shutter down a second or so, it will fire off a few shots then (seems the continuous mode isn't blocked by the usuall light metering that the single shot mode is.. granted, when it is too dark, you know it :>, the pics are hard to make out, but I have gotten good pics this way, that the cam wouldn't have let me shoot otherwise.
I have an interest in Photography, and have a collection of cameras that most people would pass on if they saw them (usually bought at flea markets and the like) for between $1.00-$35.00) in various film sizes and all.. I like the challenge of getting good pics out of those old cameras, and the Pen Cam does give me a similar challenge sometimes.. sometimes I have had to try to doctor an image to make it more pleasant to view..
but for the most part, I am VERY pleased with my purchase.. (as an aside, everyone I work with at the computer store I work in, want's one of these cams, in fact, my boss want's to sell them at the store *smiles*)
is also handy for going shopping, and taking little pics of things you looked at (when window shopping, or price checking and such) since the cam is easy to hide when needed :>
all in all, I'd recommend this cam to anyone who likes cameras, and would like an easy to carry, and use camera, as long as they aren't expecting it to be a megapixel powerhouse that is.. plus, I love the movie mode takes impressive (for it's price) mini movies, and you can combine the video modes in a avi file when you make one (to stretch out the memory a bit)
