When i decided to build my own stereo, i really didnt know much about what i was doing and what types of equipment to buy. When i was looking around i came across this reciever. I looked at alot of other ones, but with the high quality of pioneer car stereos and how i was impressed with the one i bought, i decided to get a pioneer reciever. I found it to be a great investment, but i found that it was really hard to understand some of the features and what they do. Also i found that with the superbass there was disortion. It wasnt too bad for the price, i guess you get what you pay for. If you ar looking to start building a stereo, then this is the right reciever to buy espically with the surround sound and the wattage. overall i would recommend this to anyone who is just starting out.
