Great Picture
Toshiba has outdone themselves with their new TheaterWide sets. Awesome picture, great features, very good value. As an electronics buyer, I have had the pleasure of dealing with many different vendors over the past 6 years. Some are more responsive then others but as a whole there are very few bad manufactures. However, every once in a while you find a vendor that is really in tune with the consumer. Toshiba is one of those very good manufacturers. I purchased one of their new TW40X81 HDTV ready sets after an extensive comparison. The super jack pack in the back makes upgrades easy and the ColorStream jacks (component jacks) automatically convert standard 480I signal to the clearer 480P signal. Feature for feature you will be hard pressed to find a better television for twice the price. Because it is HDTV ready, you don’t have to worry about missing HDTV broadcasts. With a HDTV stand-alone receiver, the TW40X81 becomes a HDTV producing a 1080I picture. That is over 1 million pixels for your viewing pleasure. If you look at one on the show room floor, please make sure they are using a DVD with component out jacks or better video source so that you can witness the truly awesome picture affordably at your fingertips. Other very good sets to look at are: RCA, Philips, JVC, and Sony.
