Sony TRV65

Jan 16 '00

We purchased this camcorder about a year and a half ago as a replacement for our Sony 8X camcorder, this one is a 72X, big change from the 8X. The 72X is a digital zoom, if you try to zoom it all the way out, the picture gets distorted. Don't get me wrong, this is a great camcorder and we love it. We have used it for lots of things, camping, going out to the lake, and taping the family. We also plan to take it with us on our trip to Disney when we go.
The camera takes an 8mm tape, you can use the audio/video jacks to hook it up to your television or vrc to watch it on the tv or transfer it to VHS. It is light weight and has a flip open 2" color screen that you can use to watch while you are taping or watch what you have taped, only bad part about that is it wears the battery down faster. Normally the battery has a pretty good tape time though.
