I have 2 Sony BAT3's at my home serving my DirecTV connection. I have had no problems with the boxes whatsoever. They are easy to use, the buttons make sense and hey, it's a Sony. If there is a single rule I tell people when buying electronic stuff, even if you don't know anything about it or aren't going to use all it's features, is BUY SONY. I have Sony from one end of my house to the other. A lot of the other companies make entry level cheap hardware, but put their name on it to get the sales and then the product sucks. I've never known Sony to do this. Their lowest grade products are about mid-grade from any other brand. These recievers do everything they are supposed to and nothing that their not. I have been very pleased with the Sony's and what I get from them. I'm not terribly excited about DirecTV, but it's pretty much the only choice.
