I feel I got shafted by AirTouch (now Verizon). My wife's phone died, so we decided to cancel the cellular service. We signed up for a one-year contract, but we were automatically renewed for a second year! After 18 months with AirTouch, they are imposing the $150 cancellation fee.
I'm going to dispute the cancellation fee with the California Public Utilities Commission. Verizon will never get my personal business and when I have to make decisions at my company for cellular service, they will be out of the selection process. I'm even going to switch my local land service from Verizon to whomever else offers local service in my area.
