I got this phone as a gift in 8th grade, and despite the fact that we have about 8 phones in various rooms of the house, my entire family prefers to use this one!
This phone has many features, including a 10 speed-dials, and it comes with a little Caller ID window. You still have to subscribe to the Caller ID for it to work, but it's very convenient, because it moves with the phone. There is also a VIP function, where you can save a particular number as a VIP and just touch that one button for it to dial.
As for the charging, this phone doesn't need to be charged very long for it to work. And it lasts very long. I have left the phone in the living room or kitchen overnight and all day, and it still works later. It also has very long range capability. The base is upstairs, and I have used this phone many times in the backyard and basement.
I have never had any problems with this phone. You can't even lose it like you can a remote control because the base has this beep button that you press, and the phone beeps. So if you lose it in blankets or you forgot what room it's in, you press the button, and the phone beeps. This is very convenient.
There are many channels for the phone, and it automatically picks the clearest, static-free one when you turn it on. I have never had major static issues. There is also a one touch re-dial.
My family enjoys this phone so much, we bought a second one!
