I bought this system after careful consideration and comparisons with other products available in the market in its class. Believe me that it gives the best performance in the entire class of Home Theatre Systems.
I felt that the Bose etc were too much for their price when the quality and rendition of sound provided by this system was compared to them. It has a very good cross-over which makes listening to it even more pleasurable.
Basically it comes with a
A reciever STR-DE454 Amp, which delivers 400W of pure power.
A DVD player with 5 cd changer.
A Tape Deck.
2 Floor Standing Front Speakers with 12" woofers in each of them.
The need for a active subwoofer is undermined by the mere presence of these floor speakers with their woofers. They give a superb output of the Low frequency effects.
Anywayif u do need later in the future an active sub-woofer, then u can buy one and plug it in the reciever (STR-DE454)(provision to connect an active subwoofer provided)
The Center Channel and Surround Speakers complement the performance of this system, giving u the Dolby Digital Surround Sound effects.
Overall a very good investment.
(Also it may turn out to be the envy of others...)
