I had just bought a new pool table and had it set up in my basement. Now, if I could just watch a UConn game while playing my favorite game, I would be all set. And so it happened that I decided to pick up a small TV to put on top of a six-foot high cabinet that was near my table. This bar-like installation made it easy to see the picture from any angle.
I really love the picture on the Sony tube sets. The set has a flat surface that eliminates those glare spots you see on cheaper tubes.
One drawback with this set is the magnetic attraction to dust that the tube seems to create. To keep the picture looking good, the screen must be cleaned on a regular basis.
This is a great set for smaller areas where the unit can be installed close to eye level. It's a bit too small to enjoy on a typical TV stand.
