DSS which one,which package,how to choose, this could be driving you crazy.Let me help you if you already haven't decided to go with DSS,let me break it down for you. Cable you pay way to much for the programming you receive, first of all,second the quality is terrible.I use to hear from many people that,Oh cable is better it gives you your local channels,well if you haven't heard Direct TV the channel supplier of Rca and many other dishes is now offering local channels to many cities already, and more to come in the coming months. DSS offers you pristine quality picture DAY OR NIGHT all the time.Now if you have decided to go DSS let me explain to you why I went RCA. Well I did my research,believe me, now as sound feigned I was concerned about the quality of sound, if you ask around you will find out that the receiver for this model has the capability of DOLBY DIGITAL SURROUND SOUND, while some of the other companies try to impress you with the so called PRO LOGIC sound it is not better. Now there are a couple of downsides to DSS and Directv. First off customer service is slow at times their phones have busy for hours at a time,but they have been working on it and I'll admit it has gotten better.Another thing with the new local channels every so often my screen will freeze for about 15 to 30 seconds.This should not be a deterrent,RCA IS A GREAT DISH.
