| sharkis's Full Review: Panasonic 27" Stereo Monitor Receiver CT-27G13 |
Why did I buy this tv? I got a great deal at Best Buy. $380 for an open-box buy, with a 4yr service warranty included. Basically, that's the price of the TV now, without the warranty. But needless to say, I will probably never use the warranty.
It has all the standard features of similar tv's. It does have front A/V inputs though, something you'll either want, or not want. I would have preferred it to be in back simply for better aesthetics, but it works. it has 2a/v inputs and one of them is a shared S-video. I would have liked more a/v inputs...1 for vcr, dss, and dvd....too much stuff. Maybe I should just get an a/v receiver and solve my problems.
Bottom line, if you can get a good deal on this TV, go for it. It's definately better than anything RCA, Sharp, or Zenith has to offer. The only thing I would consider otherwise would be Sony or JVC. As far as high end goes, Sony, JVC, and Panasonic have my pick.
For a small apartment, this TV is ideal, otherwise, if you can afford it, buy a bigger TV. I never owned a TV larger than 27", but the price barrier to go any higher is not priced to own.
