Recently I obtained a new vehicle. When I began to go through the vehicle, given to me by a family member, I looked for anything that needed to be replaced or added. One of the items that needed attention was the sound system. The other item was the tires, ouch! As for the sound system, that was an investment in listening enjoyment as far as I was concerned.
I decided that I needed to go from a stereo without CD capabilities to a stereo with CD changer capabilities. Because I really like Sony products and have used them in the past as well as using them in and around the house, Sony was my first choice. I wanted to purchase a product that would last for some time to come and put out good quality sound.
When I travel in some areas there is less than perfect radio coverage which makes it imperative that I have some alternative form of music available. I am not much into just listening to road noise. Knowing that I wanted good sound and like Sony products, I set out to find a CD changer that was high quality and would not bankrupt me.
The Sony CDX-828 was my choice. I decided on this product because it allowed me to maintain several groups of CDs in different cassetts which makes changing the overall music selection easy. I felt that the quality of the sound would be superior to that of other products on the market in a reasonable price range. As it worked out, I choose this product and another relative gave it as a birthday gift. Thus, I do not know what was paid for the CD Changer.
After selecting the product I had it installed. Since then it has been on a few trips with me where it was bounced around on some rough roads. That did not seem to bother the player which kept on producing good quality music without the skips offered by some CD players. The compact size of this player also helped make mounting it in an out of the way corner of the vehicle easy.
Overall I give this CD Changer a 5 star rating. I look forward to a long time on the road listening to the high quality music produced by the Sony CDX-828 CD Changer.
