| sharkis's Full Review: Hughes Networks D1132 Single LNB DIRECTV System |
Get rid of the vcr, toss the cable box (and bill), perhaps even those nasty rabbit ears....well, not really, but you'll use them a LOT less.
I've been using DirecTV for the last 5 or 6 years, and there's been no turning back for me. Back then I was using an RCA system, which was slow and painful to navigate..but it did the job. The Hughes system, however, is awesome. Everything I had, with a lot more convenience. Everything happens faster, and channel surfing is no longer tedious, although I still have problems findings something to watch.
The multi-functional remote is awesome, and works with most vcr's and tv's. This is now my main remote. As far as actually setting it up, it's a breeze. Set the angle according to the on screen instructions, and keep rotating it until you get a signal. Once you get a signal, pinpoint it, and you're set. They even have an 800 number which is there if you need help.
I bought this system from a web company, which will ship it out for $15, as long as you sign up, and there's no contract to stay with the service.
