| thirtysomethin's Full Review: Motorola StarTAC ST7760 CDMA / AMPS Cellular Phone |
The Motorola StarTAC 7760 has to be one of the best innovative phones produced and marketed today. It is packed with dozens of features and coupled with a quality digital carrier, not many other phones can touch it for the price.
What I like about it is the extremely small size and portability. When looking at this phone, it is one of the smallest lightweight, digital phones that you can buy. I especially like that you don't have to worry about having a separate bulky charger to recharge the battery. Due to superior technology, the phone utilizes an internal IC chip that allows you to plug it to a wall socket via the provided cord and it will always recharge perfectly every time. You can leave it plugged in as long as you want because when the battery reaches the appropriate level the chip inside shuts the charging sequence down to prevent overcharging.
The supplied Lithium Ion battery will never develop a memory so you can recharge it whenever and it provides several days standby and up to 3 hours talk time. The phone also has a silent Vibrating mode for those who don't like to hear the ringing and who may be in meetings etc. Caller ID, voice mail, 99 number memory, and the option of a auxiliary battery for extended talk time are standard features on this great phone. The sound quality is extremely clear.
Couple all the things I listed above with the new clip on organizer, and who needs a Palm Pilot anymore? I would highly recommend this phone to anyone. it's a little pricey but shop around with the different service providers and you can purchase it for next to nothing. I really think it's the one to beat!
