I decided to try this upgrade to my current Dish system, mainly to get more channels. I am sorry I did. First, the $75 quoted is only for a standard system- if you have more then 2 TV's, add another $50.
Next, the installation personnel for Dish Network were not competent. The person sent out could not get the dish working, and left. I was expected to deal with returning "the bad switch", which Dish initially quoted as a $40 charge to replace the "bad switch". I spent 2 hours on hold and talking to rude Echostar customer service people. Disgusted, I finished the install myself, and it worked fine. Then I got to clean up the mess the service guy left in my yard and on my roof.
Now that it is working, I do like the additional channels, but could have done without the $300 bill for the first months programming.
In general, I like the product, it is almost worth what it ended up costing, but dealing with Dish Network was terrible, and I would not try another upgrade with them.
