T28 Secrets

Pros:Customer support answers the phone.
Cons:Poor information, slow turn around.

This review only discusses the process in swapping the sim chip in an Ericsson T28 World phone on the Pac Bell Wireless network.

There is a common rumor that T28 World phones purchased from Pac Bell will not accept other sim chips. I have called Pac Bell three times and they insistent that the sim chips can be swapped, with one hitch. You have to call their technical support people via customer service to put in a request for the phone's access code. It takes between three to five business days for Pac Bell to process the request because they have to call Ericsson to get the code. Also technical support only works Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am to 7 pm. You do not need Pac Bell to let you roam internationally if you are swapping the sim, you just need the phone's code.
