This CD Changer is the top one of the Sony CDX Changer family. I was surprised, that at only $350 this would do so well..
I was quite surprised on how durable this CD Changer. When I have handled the changer it seems like a very solid piece of hardware. CDs skipping in this changer are low. It has it's own shock isolation system which has silicon filled shock absorbers to decrease skipping when you hit bumps and potholes in your car.
It also features a pretty good Electronic Shock Protection. For those of you that don't know, it stores audio into a buffer memory, so if it does skip or malfunctions by picking up a mistrack, the changer should play music perfectly.
It features a 8X oversampling rate, a 1 Bit D/A Converter for crisper sound and holds 110 CDs. The changer also has a very compact cabinet size.
I have not heard, nor seen anything major downsides to this unit. For $350, this changer is quite a bargain. I highly recommend it!
