DirecTV: better than Cable

Dec 25 '99

if you are deciding on wether to get cable or a digital satelite. You should get the satelite. For years I have had satelite, it was 10 times better than cable. You get more channels, sports games, national, and some forgien channels. Also you get a much better TV programing guide. Unlike cable, where you have to wait for the TV guide to scroll down slowly you control what channel you want to see the programing schedual for, and at what time you want to see it. Also if you ever order movies and events on pay-per-view then the satelite will help. All you have to do is find a featured movie, select buy, and you pay the normal movie-store rental fee, and best of all you don't have to call in, the satelite does gets it for you in seconds, and you pay the charge when your bill comes. Over all D-TV is a must for home entertainment.
and about local channels, all you need are some cheap bunny ear antenas, most people get the local channels in very easily and cheaply. Besides, even if you don't get any local channels the satelite is worth the loss.
Also if you are tired of cable "going out" you don't have to worry about that with a satelite. I highly recommend the digital satelite.
