| UniSonBBS's Full Review: Aiwa HT-D770 Home Theater System |
Hello to everyone interested in the HT-D770.
I recently purchased the Aiwa HT-D770 Home Theater System. This is the first time that I had boughten a home theater or stereo. I have some very nice stereo's with 300 watt recievers and nice 200 watt speakers but it was nothing compared to the D770. There is a thunderous 500 watts + another 50 watts from the subwoofer (Powered Sub).
I paid $379 for the complete system but came out to $500+ after buying Monster (Monster) cables. I kinda do recommend that you don't get these wires unless you are willing to spend $30-$40 dollars a wire or really want the clearest quality. I am currently using a DVD and this system on a regular TV and I didn't see any difference at all with the monster cables but if I had a HDTV or something then it might be a different story.
It was also a long process to get everything hitched up. As for the D770 wasn't the hard part it was trying to get the DVD and the D770 set up right. So be prepared if you haven't set up anything like a stereo before with CD players and stuff, it might be a challange but when I opened the box there was a paper right on top that said STOP (If you need help setting up your system call this number.) so that was cool but after about 3 hours I didn't need it, it was complete.
I am still trying to figure out how everything works and the little features of it. I have to say that the subwoofer was alot better when I got it home and figured everything out then at the store, so that made me happy. It is an earth shaking system and sounds like the kids cars that have thoughs rockin' stereo's, but with crisp clear sound.
There is alot of manual setting but also presets. You can even set up your dials that read Line 1, Line 2 to instead read DVD, TV and so on. You can customize it pretty well. For my first Home Theater I have to say that this might be my last and only because I am extremly satified with it.
On the back there is TONS! of Input and Output jacks. Options for almost everything thing you could hitch up. There is 3 full video/sound hitchups for like your DVD, VCR, CD, MD or Anything! and one on the front and tons of other ones! If you go to Bestbuy.com there is pictures of the back of the system from front to back.
But anyways, I could probably talk about this until my figures fall off.
I love it!
