This product is excellent! I bought this product to listen to when I work-out and it's been great. Each day I make a new playlist in Music Match (which is painless) and then I download the list to the hipzip. The whole transfer process for 9 songs is about 10 seconds.
The sound is great, sometimes you have to play with the bass and treble. There is definitely enough volume, you just need to raise the treble and bass manually instead of using one of the preset equilizer settings. Battery life seems to be steady at about 6 hours with the volume on high, (although I've never tested it until the battery runs out).
The product is easy to use and reliable. If you are looking for a product to be a work-out machine or a reasonable replacement for your walkman, this is the product. I have not had a skip yet and at $299 it's a great value. The system comes with 2, 40mg pocket zips and additional memory is $10-15 per disk. Two disks seems to be enough since I just change the content often. The unit is also small enough to fit in a pocket unlike the 6 gig jukebox on the market.
