Our new Panasonic CT-27SF36 has about the best picture quality of any standard TV I have seen. Our digital satellite images are wonderful on this set. (DVDs and laser disks look great, too.) Add to that its great versatility in a home theater set-up and you have a winner!
We compared many TVs when we were looking for a new one, and no other brand had a picture that seemed as sharp and as well-balanced for color as the CT-27SF36. The black screen mask makes the picture very vivid and the colors really pop. We went for this model rather than the lower priced Panasonics because of the extra filters that make for a better picture, and are we glad!
The way our system is set up right now we are not using all the inputs on this TV, but it is good to know they are there when we need them.
The universal remote that comes with the TV is a little hard to set up and not really easy to use because it tries to do too many things in the space it has available. If you limit the functions you ask from the remote, it can be very useful, though.
If you shop around, you should be able to beat the $749.00 retail price. Even at full price, I feel like this is a good value. Panasonic has a good reputation for quality, so I expect to be using this TV for a long time - until HDTV is priced so working folks can afford it.
