Aiwa Mini System CD's Break

I bought an Aiwa Mini System three years ago. A few months ago the cd player broke. I also had about five friends who also purchased Aiwa mini systems (different but similar models) in the same year . . . ALL of their cd players are broken now. I also used to work at Sears electronics and MANY customers have reported the exact same problem with their 3 year old aiwa mini systems with cd players. So, well now you know.

This was one of my first epinions. I will admit that even I would not give it a highly recommended now. Which is why I am adding this.
My experience with my Aiwa, model # NSX-V50 has been good. I bought it my first year of college and I listened to it practically every day. Sometimes I played it soft and at other times I put the speakers in my window and blasted the Simpson’s theme song so loud that everyone in the other dorms and everyone walking by could hear it. (the funniest thing is looking at peoples’ faces as they try to figure out what that familiar tune is)
The first two years the CD player worked perfectly. Then right around the start of the third year it would not play slightly scratched CDs. Then it only played new CDs. Then midway through the third year it stopped working completely. I had to hook up a portable CD player to get it to work, but by then mp3s had caught my eye so my computer had monopolized the aux in port. So to play CDs I need to play then through my computer. But when my computer was turned off I had to rehook-up my CD player. AARGHHH. If only the CD player still worked.
