t28w anyone?

Ericsson’s T28w is currently top of the line model in the World phone category of GSM 900 / 1900.
T28w sport a blue housing with a very little but cool display which have an indigo glow. The buttons are very small but very firm when in dark it’s very easy to see though the light behind those keys. I personally think that those keys can be a little bigger and softer to press.
Following is what I really think of the T28w (may not be pretty):
- Buttons are too small
- display is too small
- sometime system seem to 'lag' for 2-4 seconds after pressing a button
- very hard to browse and search for phone book
- active flip seem a bit cheesy (may break)
- contact on the ac adapter compose of 2 thin copper/metal ping look a
like if not careful when store the adapter one can bend those pins
- the release button on the active flip is very hard to push and do not
have a good mechanical release if one open and close flip on too many
times it might result in loose flip and cannot close.
- polymer battery (included with phone) do not last long (2hrs+) I would
recommend to replace it with HBC-10 :)
- ringer kind a low
- vibration is not as strong as startac nor nokia
- lack of build in IRDA port
- very hard to remove sim card and may cause scratch to your sim card
- very hard to remove battery from the back
Following is what I consider good features of T28w:
- Cool indiglo display
- active flip and very cool microphone (noise canceling?)
- Tetris!!!!
- very light
- easy to navigate menu (not as good as nokia though)
In the end I think T28w is light, compact and thin and it is absolutely a pocket shirt type of phone. Just drop in your sim card and you are good to go.
One word of caution for those of you out there who believe in after market part, Ericsson somehow set this phone to detect non-ericsson part especially battery and will take less time to charge them. There is also a replacement stub antenna which you can extended the antenna out for better reception; however if you do not have a ericsson battery you won't be able to use that antenna because after market battery take up all of the space. Just remove your original battery and see for your self on the right hand side (battery back facing you) there is a little curve space there.
