Two weeks ago, I had never heard of TIVO. Today, I love it. My son bought me a Philips Tivo 30 hour personal video recorder last week and I am already hooked. When he brought it over to my house, I said, “get ride of that. I don’t need another gadget. I already have 2 VCRs, what do I need that for.”
Well after using it for a full week, I have become hooked. It took me a little time to understand the controls, but now I have mastered them. I signed up for the lifetime service (of the unit) for 200.00 dollars. But, If you sign up by 12/31/2000, Tivo is giving you back 100.00 dollars. Not a bad deal.

If you don’t own a Tivo, you just won’t get it. If you buy one, they actually give you the service for 16 days on a trial basis. This isn’t publicized. Therefore, you can always return the unit to the store if it doesn’t meet your expectations. I know that once you try Tivo though, you’ll want to keep it. Try it, you’ll like it!
