| smedvin's Full Review: Sony MDBUNDLE4 Personal MiniDisc Player |
I bought the Sony MDBUNDLE 4 about three months ago, and I could not be happier with it. In my opinion, Mini Disc is the best musical format. There is no sound quality loss in recording from CD. The discs themselves are small, light weight, and extremely cool looking. They don't skip, and cannot be scratched. Aesthetically, Mini Disc is the way to go.
This bundle contains the Sony MDS J-510 home player recorder and the EZ 40 portable player. The home deck connects to a CD player either by digital-optical lines or a regular RCA plug. (However, the digital optical option is better sound quality). The EZ 40 is not as small or lightweight as many newer portables on the model. But it is cheap, and the Sony name is a reliable one. My only problem with the EZ 40 is its tendency to drain batteries. I went through two AA's every 2 days. I would strongly recommend the use of rechargeable batteries. They are better for the environment, and cost way less in the long run.
