I decided to rewrite my opinion after having my detector for a good four months. In the last four months I have only been pulled over once. This was for speeding, but the cop was using instant on. I don't think any other detector could have done any better of a job.
As a pizza delivery boy, I am often times surpassing the speed limit. The Bel 870 gives me plenty of alert every time there is a cop around with his radar on. It does tend to have some false alerts, but it is worth it to slow down even for a false alert, figuring that many times it is not and it saves my butt.
Overall, I have been very satisfied with the product I have bought. For the price the quality is not surpassed by any other.
