Within my household, everyone is a fan of cable television and what it has to offer. Cable television offers a wide selection of channels where you can witness movies, sports and more. I used to watch it so much until everything that was on cable was repeats. It also started to get very expensive because not only was I paying to watch cable, I was also a monthly fee to use the remote control and the cable box. Because of all that, me and my family decided to cut the cable.
Recently, my father purchased direct TV for radio shack. Direct TV is excellent. They charge different prices for different channels. We got the plan for $49.95 which included 6 different HBO channels MTV, Starz, SHO and about 1,000 other channels. Direct TV even includes channels where you can tune into your favorite music including jazz, rock, swing, R&B, blues, pop and more.
What I thought was the best about us changing from cable television to Direct TV was that during the first month using Direct TV, you get every single channel. The only channels you cannot get on Direct TV is channels like ABC, FOX, CBS and NBC unless you pay the $5 charge. But anybody who is smart can get around having to pay it simply by turing off your direct TV box. Other than that, there are about 100 different sports channels, 200 movie channels, 200 news channels including MSNBC, CNN, CNN Headline News, ESPN News, FOX News and others, and about 100 channels catering to children including the cartoon channel, Disney 1 and 2, Nickelodeon, Toonz and more.
Direct TV has been a great investment for my family. It is cheaper than cable and you are getting so many different channels for the entire family. I would definitely recommend direct tv to anyone looking to invest their money into cable.
