I bought last year's model Panasonic 36" for $1000 at Sears. The image is really beautiful. It was time to upgrade my old 27" Panasonic (which still works great, by the way). I have never had as much good luck with tv's until I started buying Panasonics 3 years ago.
This 36" tv is perfect for anyone looking for a dual-tuner, big tv without sacrificing picture quality (that's what projection tv's are for). This tv should run you about a grand, not $1200 like it says in the product description. It's perfect for entertaining in the living room, although I have mine in my bedroom, because I don't want to share it.
The universal remote is very handy, easy to program, and intuitive to use. The big blue button in the middle does practically every daily function. It's easy to access the features menu to set the timer, edit channel assignments, and adjust volume & change channels.
If you're thinking about a big tv, you can't do any better for the price. Do yourself a favor and buy it.
