Still going strong 10 years later

Actually mine is a Memorex by label, but built by Panasonic. I bought it in 1990. It has been moved all over when I was in the Navy and now it gets a workout with the kids and their movies. During the summer I record NASCAR when I will be gone. This thing is the best! I have done nothing to it, no cleaning, tuning whatever. I just plug it in and it has never failed us.
We have the Stereo (SM660) model and love the features it has, especially the frame by frame advance. It is great for sports replays.
It may have a name that you have never heard of, but if it is built by someone reputable, go for it!
