Pros: Good price, great viewing, great equipment. Top of the line.
Cons: Time consuming to install, and we lose our picture in bad weather.

| differdrum's Full Review: Hughes Networks D1132 Single LNB DIRECTV System |
When my husband was recovering from heart surgery, I bought him the Hughes dish. We had Time Warner cable, but we didn't like the channel selection.
I did subscribe to one step up from basic with Direct TV.
I pay 29.99 a month, and I wouldn't take cable back if they gave it to me for FREE!
My husband actually found something to entertain himself for the eight weeks he was bedridden!! Quite a feat! (Most importantly, it kept him out of my hair!)
He is fully recovered , now it helps to keep my three year old out of my hair! With two Nickalodeons, and three Disneys, along with the Cartoon Network, there is always something to keep him occupied when Mommy is busy!
The quality of the picture is GREAT!! My only complaint is every time it rains, we lose reception. We did, however, lose cable when it rained too.
There is also the added attraction of ordering pay per view through your remote.
My teenage son loves all of the sports stations, and I love watching old movies, so we fight over the remote a lot.
Another plus, I purchased it from a company that sent it through the mail. It was great they UPS'd it tight to my front door. Three days after I ordered it, It was installed. (The installation kit was free!)
I opted to get the dish with two outlets on it, and we added another receiver later for the bedroom. This is really something you should buy. I f you think cable TV is something, try Direct TV, and Hughes. This is really an unbeatable combination!!!!!
