My husband and I bought our Sony CCD-FX228 Camcorder about 4 years ago. We have had so much fun with it and have also been able to capture special occasions as well as vacations on film.
Our's came with a battery, carrying case, tripod, remote, and charger.
It has date and time settings, a back light for not so lit areas, auto focus, counter reset, adjusting viewfinder, recording lamp, and many many more features.
The quality of the movies are also very clear not to mention the sound quality, it is terrific.
When we bought our's we did purchase an extended warranty and have never had to use it one time. We however have had it taken in for regular maintenance such as cleanings.
We are expecting our first child in about ten weeks and I am sure we will even find ourselves using it a lot more to capture those first facial expressions, first every thing.
So to sum it up, I have been completely satisfied with this camcorder and could not have chose a better product.
