| dsun1's Full Review: Sony SAS A50D Satellite TV System |
I brought this unit at Circuit city, which has a 30 day return policy. The place I recently moved to, the cable bill would have been 80 dollars a month for only basic cable, HBO and Showtime. I figured try the DirecTV and see what happens. If I didn't like it, I could return it. Or if I used it for a year, it was basically the same as paying to cable.
I brought the dish back home, and luckily, I have a porch from our living room that faces Southwest. I plugged everything in, set the dish outside at the right angle , and PRESTO, I got TV without even bolting the dish on the ground. It was amazingly simple. Picture was sharp, audio was great, and I only pay 50 dollars a month for a lot more channels. In addition, I will be getting local channels in the next few weeks.
I recommend this to anyone who asks. My only caveat is that I haven't had the dish in bad weather yet, so can't comment on the reception during rain or a storm. But it's exceeded all my expectations.
