| qpnmom's Full Review: Hughes Networks D1132 Single LNB DIRECTV System |
It has been about 5 months since we got our Direct TV. I cannot see how we lived without it. I will never go back to cable. There is many more channel choices. Better quality signal. We pay a little bit more than we did with cable and but we get our choice of channels. Prices start around $20 a month depending on where you live. We pay $47 and have the total choice package and the HBO and Cinemax offer. I feel that it is inexpensive at $100 without installation. Most stores and companies are offering the installation kit for FREE. My husband installed ours. We also price budgeted for our DISH. It happened to be on sale for only $48.88 at a Best Buy in Miami, we went to our local Best Buy and asked them to match it. Same store just different area. We even had to get management in the deal. We walked out paying $50 plus tax etc. Got home opened the box and found that we also got the TOTAL cable package for FREE for one month ($98 value). Hubby had it hooked up in a couple of hours even with a hurricane on the way. I will say that it is confusing to use the machine itself and remote. But give yourself some time to play with the buttons and it will be a cinch in no time. I personally would recommend this product. The only downfall is that you have to have two receivers if you want it to go to another TV.
