I LOVE this kind of new tech gizmo! Who needs a big screen TV when you can have an 80” screen floating right before your eyes???
Lightweight easy to wear, this thing is a must have for those of you who are like me “Toy happy”
Although pricey at $799.99, it is better than the LC which is $399.99 the picture is MUCH better and you get a better field of view. X2 also has fantastic sound, I was very impressed. I figured the picture would be neat and the sound would suffer, but they pack a whallop in those earphones.
The X2 model weighs only a mere 8 ounces. Like a heavy feather. I hardly noticed them after a minute or so. The new X2 version dispatches the need for the visor that used to be used with the glasses, because this version of the glasses has even better definition than the last one. The controls are on the right side of the unit and are fairly easy to operate. BUT, I would rather have a small remote or gadget to adjust the Volume, Video Mute, and 3D-mode.
The video mute button is one of the BEST features of these glasses. One touch and the video is gone and you can see right through the “screens”. Need to go to the bathroom? No problem, just hit the button and you won’t trip on the family pet. Of course, that’s only if you have long enough WIRES to get to the bathroom. I will not fully give this product a five star until it comes out wireless, which I imagine will be within a year or so. If this unit were wireless and voice activated it would be the best thing since sliced bread. (Hint to manufacturers)
I have tried “3D” and “Virtual” Glasses before, but they were clunky, oddly configured and gave you a headache right out of the box. i-glasses X2 has taken pain out of wearing the headpiece..
You can Plug the X2 into a television, DVD, laserdisc, VCR, cable or satellite with an easy junction box. I even hooked it up to my “Eyan Cam” This is the camera located on the edge of my newborn Childs crib. Now I can see him anytime I want on a huge screen ‘Larger Than Life’ !!! Jamie, my wife, was convinced when she saw THAT feature.
I am working on extending the wires around the living room, under the rug and up through the sofa arm, so I can “plug in” whenever I want to, without bothering anyone.
No more little PIP screen for me when I watch football, now I can see it in style.
I have yet to hook these things up to a computer, but I will and I will add more to this review when I get the required connectors. So re-view this epinion soon.
They have an even better version of the I-glasses with the Protec but that one is 4 G’s and I think this one will do nicely instead, unless you have that kind of money to spend.

Bottom Line:
Light, easy to operate, no vomiting or headaches, a true immersive feel. This product is a winner. The only problem bieng tethered to the real world, you can only go as far as the wires take you. And you have to watch out where those wires are, lest someone trip on them.
Cool applications are abound with this gizmo, and when they refine it to wireless, imagine the possibilities for home entertainment, gaming, Law Enforcement and more. I love what the future has in store for us and if you want a little taste now, GET THESES GLASSES.
