| animal2b's Full Review: Creative Labs Nomad II (64MB) MP3 Player |
So- why did I buy this? Well- I have 59 songs on my PC and well, to be honest- I didn't wanna carry my laptop with me everywhere, so I researched MP3 Players- hmmm, Nomad II looks cool, I heard good stuff about it, so...I got it. Well, its really cool, neat lookin' and small, it fits in my pocket or hooks onto my belt. Its 32 Megabites, so thats like an hour of music, so thats cool. The radio is good, picks up great reception, the recorder is AWESOME, it picks up from 15 feet away, and is really cool, so if you wanna record a class lecture, it works perfectly. Ok, so its really cool so fare, but theres something wrong, it doesn't transfer songs, yes, I had it plugged in right, yes, I DLed the right program, and YES, I called Nomad, we sat on the phone for 1 hour (not toll-free) trying to fix it, than he says he has an idea, I look at the USB Port, its #5, and there are more #5's besides the USB PORT, so he tells me I need to call Compaq Computers and ask for all this stuff, and I'm gonna have to argue to get all the stuff I need, ie: Bus Mastering Drivers, IRQ Routing Patches and USB Patches. Sounds long, sounds hard, I'll up-date you on my terrayfying journey in about one or two weeks, so check back, thanks
