Pros: Good sound/picture for size, OK remote, easy setup, good manual
Cons: No CD-R support, trendy but hard to read display
The Bottom Line: OK for inexpensive home theatre, but look somewhere else for a good music playing experience.

Update: While most of what I wrote about this system is still true, I have to add that this system is not really suitable for music listening. It's designed for cheap home theatre, and at that it does well.
I got this machine as a X-mas gift from my company, so we Israelis have a saying that goes like this: "Don't count the teeth of a horse received as a gift." Might sound a bit goofy in English, but I have to reiterate the one major shortcomming of this system as the only thing that has given me a sour taste: No support for CD-R.
This is a bummer for me since I own nearly a hundred CD-Rs, but there are good points to this system as well. First, it produces good sound for its size and price bracket. Second, it has enough input/outputs for a beginners system. Third, taken care of properly, this system may last 10 years or more as it graduates from one room to another. (This has been true for my Sony MHC-300 mini system bought in 1991. Its a similar system w/ CD/tuner/amplifier/speakers in a pregnant pizza box.)
Now if someone were to find out how to rig a dual laser setup into our pizza boxes...
