In the under $1,000 crowd, this receiver really stands out.
The first thing you notice is that this receiver heavy, 36lbs heavy. I've never encountered a receiver at this price that weighed so much. The power supply, heat sink and amplifier section all add up.
The front panel is very uncluttered, unlike so many "modern" receivers. The front panel reminds me of some of my old NAD equipment.
I've had the 1050 for about three months now and I'm very happy with it. It's filling a 17x32 foot room and doing it very well. My only "complaint" is that I would have liked to see a few more S-Video inputs on the back. It only has three and after hooking up my Satellite dish, game system, and DVD I was out of room. I'd really like to see about five S-Video inputs.
