| melliott03's Full Review: Polaroid OneStep AutoFocus |
There is nothing more exciting than taking a picture and being able to see it in seconds. That is what I like best about my Polaroid One Step Auto Focus camera.
What could be easier than picking up the camera and clicking the shoot button whenever you see a “kodac” moment.
This Polaroid is a lot better than the cameras of old. We had one of the old polaroids that took black and white pictures. When the picture emerged from the camera, you had to roll a jelly like substance over it and let it dry before handling.
With the newer cameras, you just “click” and out come the pictures and it just takes seconds for the image to materialize.
Features of this camera are:
1) Electronic Flash
2) Lighten/Darken Control
3) Green Light
4) Picture Counter
This camera is easy to use. To raise the electronic flash, just grip the sides of the flash unit. Swing the flash unit up and snap into place. The flash unit fully charges in about 4 seconds.
To load film you just go to the area where the pictures come out and there is a slide button that has two lines and an arrow. Just push the button forward and a flap drops open. Just slide your film in and snap the flap shut.
When the little green light comes on. This tells you the flash is charged and the camera is ready to take pictures.
Next you look into the view finder and locate your subject and then slowly and surely, push the shutter button. Be sure to keep fingers away from the lens, you don’t want pictures of your fingers.
After you click the shutter button, the picture comes rolling out of the camera. Just take the picture and put it on a level surface to finish developing.
This camera uses Polaroid 600 film. It is a bit expensive (around $12 for 10 shots) but if you want pictures instantly, it is worth the extra money.
The film cartridge holds the batteries for the flash unit so each time you insert a new film pack in your camera, you are automatically installing a fresh battery too.
This camera is easy to use and makes waiting days or hours for pictures a thing of the past.
