what's with the cd?

I own an AIWA nsx-v2100 and i like everything about it except one thing
after a while of using it the cd player broke. I did a little research asking my friends about there's and i found that 5 out of 6 of their cd players broke! why is that aiwa has good sound quality but bad cd players and service. it never got fixed because the Warranty expired. i offered to pay and they said that i would have to take it to an independent dealer near me (the nearest one is about an hour drive)! I don;t like
AIWA due to the fact that the service stinks and the cd players do too.
