Pros: Poor Service and rude representatives. Perhaps they are more efficient in urban areas, but they get you hook, line, and sinker if you live in the country.
Cons: Nice phone. Reasonable price if you don't exceed your free time. They really get you by the minute if you go overtime or have to roam.

| yajnagrom's Full Review: General Reviews of Cellular One Customer Service |
Having used CellularOne for 10 months, I am grossly dissatisfied with and disappointed with my wireless phone. Needing a cellular phone due to the fact that I was the responsible party for three people in their nineties and in nursing homes, I signed on with CellularOne because they offered what seemed to be a good contract.
However, within the first month of my contract I found it to be full of surprises ie. surcharges, restrictions, and static. I requested termination of my contract and was told that I would have to buy my way out.
It seemed that I was bound by my word to the service, but they did not have to keep their word to me. Feeling that I had been hooked by my own lack of knowledge, I accepted the fact that I was tied into a two year contract and would try to make the most of it.
During the first 10 months or my association with CellularOne I have received promo ads offering new service. The first one I ignored because I was not interested. Today I got another add offering an upgrade to my service and a new free phone to show their appreciation for my loyalty.
I called the 800 number given in the ad and talked to a customer service representative. He discussed the new offering in great detail with me. I reminded him that I had 14 months left on my original contract and asked if I was eligible for the upgrade. He put me on hold for about 8 minutes and told me that, yes I would be permitted to upgrade and that I had only to drive 30 miles to the nearest CellularOne retail store.
This I did. Explaining why I had come to the store, I was told in no uncertain terms that I had entered into an oral contract in February and that I would not be permitted to upgrade until I was in the last 6 months of my original contract.
Had the original representative told me this, I would have accepted the limitation. However, he in answer to my specific question about the first contract, contacted a supervisor who assured him and through him me that I could upgrade. The rep in the retail store was insolent and refused to let me talk to his supervisor.
When I insisted that he check with someone about the promotional material I received, he told me that it had been sent to me in error and that I should disregard it. I asked to talk to the person on the other end of the phone line and was told in no uncertain terms that I had entered into an oral contract which could under no terms be altered.
I am going to buy out my contract rather that continue to be squeezed monthly for 14 more months. I figure it will cost me about 30% of what they would bill me for over the course of the next 14 months. I would unreservedly discourage anyone from entering into a contract with CellularOne.
