JVC makes great video tapes and great VCRs but a portable CD player is where they need to catch up on, I got mine on sale, which was the only factor in ecision to buy it, it looked ok too, but it didn't last me a long time. Even though it said this player has 40 seconds anti-shock protection, it wasn't even 10 seconds, plugging it into the car was no use since with all the bumps on the road you only heard parts of the songs when the car was at the light. Sound was good but not perfect, I like the Bass feature and Concert Live Sound Feature, goes well with good speakers. Car kit that was sold with a player ended up being garbage. The lid fell off the Cd player, you could still play CDs but the spring that opened the lid was not there any more. It's been roughly a year since I first bought it and the CD player fell apart. I will never again get another one of these CD players.
