| electro4's Full Review: Lightning Audio 300W x 2 Amplifier Strike SPK8IC |
This new 8-gauge wire kit from Lightning Audio will simplify the installation of any amp. Every piece you need to install your new amp. A good length of power wire is given so whether you have a Pinto or a Lincoln Park Avenue you should never fall short. A good quality fuse holder is included for SAE style fuse (40 amp fuse included). This steps the kit ahead of others in this price category, which tend to throw in a cheap blade fuse holder that I would not recommend using. The patch cords (RCA’s) included in this kit are shielded for better noise reduction and crisper sound.
A couple quick notes:
1. Use the fuse hold and put it as close to the battery as possible it is not just there for looks many car fires may have been avoided if a fuse was put in.
2. Running the power wire through the door jam may look cool... but this also could be disastrous if the wire gets pinched or cut and touches ground.
3. If you don’t have any idea how to install your amp look to a more experience car audio enthusiast for advise. Look online or stop into a local specialty car audio shop they will probably be more than happy to help you with a few questions.
4. If all else fails and you want to make sure you don’t destroy your new amp. Let a professional install it for you, the money you spend there could same you a lot more costs later.
So if your looking for a quality installation kit for a 300 watt (60 amp fuse rated) amplifier or below, the Lightning Audio SPK8IC is the kit to buy
