| Night's Full Review: Sony SAT B50 Satellite TV Receiver |
Sony has yet again blessed the world with this high class Satellite television unit. I don't even think about cable anymore. With over 500 channels, I have no thought about the 50 or 60 channel cable boxes anymore.
I have had cable in the past, just like the rest of us, and was very disappointed at how little variety in channels there was to choose from. On satellite, it's almost like there are too many channels to choose from!
For about $40 a month, I got maybe 55 stations on regular cable, including the HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime packages. I was just unhappy with the lack of variety. Also for $40 a month, I receive 500 plus channels, not including the premium packages. it's just logic, folks. For the same amount of money, you get about 450 more channels on Satellite than you do on conventional cable.
In spite of the length of time it takes to set up the dish outside, the Satellite is a much better choice. I can't even believe I bought a cable box over a Satellite a while ago. Then I wised up, and came to my senses and bought a Sony satellite system, and am now very pleased with the quality and reliability of the system.
