Hopefully they have fixed these problems...
Written: Jan 20 '00
Pros:Pretty reasonably priced, so I've heard
Cons:It has had to be repaired twice in 5 years
We received an RCA 20" TV as a wedding gift from my husbands family. It worked fine for about 6 months. Then, the picture started to fuzz and would jump all over the screen. It would do this for the first 20 minutes or so and then work okay. I immediately knew what was going on because my parents owned an RCA 27" TV and it done the same thing. They had it fixed, it cost them quite a bit and since then it worked fine.
Well, being newlyweds, we didn't have a lot of money to have our TV fixed, so we just beared with it until it started making a really loud buzzing noise, and we almost never got a good picture. We heard of a retired guy who fixed TV's in his spare time for pretty reasonable and we took our TV to him. He said a lot of RCA's have this picture problem and he said he could fix it for $40, but the problem could re-occur.
Well, we had him fix it, and it worked pretty good for about 6 months again. It's problems haven't been quite as severe this time, but we haven't spent the money to have it fixed. I guess we're going to have to do something, though, because as of TODAY, it totally died and we have no picture at all.
