If it weren't for the fact that I've built my system with nothing but Pioneer and Premier products, I may not have even known about this amp. The first thing I took note of was in the box along with the 2 year warranty card was a test sheet, giving me the advertised ratings and the actual test numbers it put out before they shipped it. The numbers either matched or exceeded their advertised watts ratings. Now, anybody can claim whatever numbers they want, most do, but the proof is in the music. All the hook-ups were pretty standard, however, I was a little surprised that they recommend fusing the positive lead at 90 amps. That's some power. Mine is fused at 80 amps right now with no problems. It has a built in variable crossover, variable bass boost, sub-sonic filter, and my favorite, variable bass boost frequency ,which allows you to really punch the low notes. As far as durability, mine is currently running 4 Premier TS-W1240C's and they are rated at 200w nom., 800w max. The amp is rated at 250w per channel or bridged for 750w max. I thought it might stress the amp to place two subs on each channel but even through our Texas summer it never got really hot or messed up in any way. All in all, it seems to be a tough amp. The Premier logo is reversible on the chrome end cap, so you can read it from whichever direction the amp is lined up. There is also a set of RCA preouts so you can daisy-chain the signal to another amp, and as soon as I can afford another one, it will come in handy. One bad note, the mounting feet that come with it are plastic and weak if you plan on mounting the amp vertically, the amp weighs in at almost 15 lbs. I think I got my money's worth!
