| grisibella's Full Review: JVC TU-3700DU Dedicated Satellite TV Receiver |
I was unhappy with cable's cost and poor service, and local broadcast TV was boring, so I decided to try satellite. I researched all available options, and decided that JVC was a safe bet. Dish had the lowest prices for the programming and hardware I wanted, so I went with it and have never regretted it for a moment.
I purchased my system at Sears, and received a rebate for the full price of the hardware, because I purchased a 12-month programming offer for approximately $50/month. My husband installed our system himself. We struggled a little to get the dish pointed just right, but finally he went on the roof with a walkie-talkie while I watched the signal strength indicator on the TV. I told him when he had it right, and that was it! Great TV ever since. Perfect, clear picture--excellent audio.
I love the onscreen guide and wide selection of programs. My only regret is that I didn't go ahead and buy a receiver with radio remote (through walls) and onscreen VCR programming.
I love DISH!
